WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, APRIL 4, 1925 WAR VETS PLAN MUSICAL SHOW Piece Is Written by Two Winnetka Men "Married at 3" is the name of the show which the Winnetka American Le- gion Post No. 10 is giving this year. It will be staged at the Skokie school May 7, 8 and 9. Thus ends the mystery which has been puzzling North Shore residents for some time. The many posters on display in the various villages and pasted on windows of taxi cabs and private au- tomobiles announcing merely "Married at 3" are now explained and we all can go about our business with a breath of relief knowing that, whatever the age of the bride and groom, at least it is only a stage wedding. The Legion is well and favorably known as a producer of stage successes and bids fair to outrival its previous pro- ductions with this show. The piece is especially written for the occasion by Howard H. Hoyt, Jr., and Ralph J. Ro- senthal. The music, lyrics and every de- tail, were originated by this pair. Hoyt wiote the last year's success, "The Gay Adventuress," which made such a big hit with north shore folks. Called Sparkling Comedy "Married at 3" is a rollicking, sparkling comedy, filled up with pretty girls and tuneful melodies. The person- nel of the cast has not been definitely de- cided on as yet, but rehearsals of both cast and chorus are in progress almost nightly in the Community house in Win- netka. The cast will include many north shore amateurs who are known as stars by local audiences while the chorus will be composed of 50 of the most beautiful maidens to be found anywhere, although they were found right in our own terri- tory. In addition to all this there will be a top-notch 20 piece orchesira from Chi- cago to furnish the music. The pro- ducers, who have taken care to begin re- hearsals far in advance of the date of presentation, are very enthusiastic over the showing already made by those who will take parts and predict that their finished product will rival any musical comedy in Chicago. Tickets Placed on Sale Tickets went on sale today at numerous places in the various north shore towns.
