PAYS EVANSTON FINE FOR WILMETTE WORK Now Tree Trimmer Is More Careful of Boundary Lines Proof of the exact boundary line be- tween Evanston and Wilmette was frrnished again Saturday afternoon when Paul Hansen, 200 South boule- vard, employed by R. W. Loudon, 200 South boulevard, was fined $10 and costs by Judge John F. Boyer in police court for trimming trees without a license on the southeast corner of Isa- bella street and Eastwood avenue. When the offender was brought into court by officers Charles Pash and' B. J. Hanke he was rather perplexed. "I was in Wilmette and they require no license," he remonstrated with the Judge. "You were not in Wilmette," cor- rected Juclge Boyer. "The middle of the street is the boundary line, When you are south of the middle it's Ev- anston, when you're north of it it's Wilmette. You can settle for $10." Hansen was fined under the order gi sed by the city council July 12, HE which requires licenses for tree : ers, street vencers and other ...v inrechants.
