October 24, 1925 WINNETKA TALK "HUNCHBACK" ON WAY Film of Victor Hugo Story at Center Next Friday: Denny Picture Booked for Tuesday, October 27 The fastest sight-seeing tour on record occurs in Reginald Denny's picture, "I'll Show You The Town," which is coming to Community House next Tuesday. With just thirty minutes in which to show a wealthy widow the sights of the town, Denny accomplishes the unusual feat in less than a quarter of an hour. The customary rubber-neck- wagon or Rolls Royce, was discarded by the star who rejoiced in the op- portunity to ride his old hobby-horse --his airplane. Cissy Fitzgerald, who plays one of the character leads in the production, was given the thrill of her life as Denny's companion in a hurried flight over a metropolitan city. "I'll Show You the Town," adapted from Elmer Davis' rollicking novel of the same name, is the story of a young professor who is placed in the strange predicament of having to show three different women the sights of the town at the same time, keeping each of the women in ignorance of the other's existence If Victor Hugo could but return to the world for one single night there is little doubt that he would gasp in amusement at the magnificence of "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," which will be shown at Community House next Friday in response to many requests. Each tiny detail of the book and of the period was studied for months and faithfully reproduced on the screen, and the hardened critics of New York, Chicago and a score of other cities, united as one man in declaring that here, at last, "is the quintessence of perfection in screen art." Mrs. Dean Hole, 935 Tower road, has charge of the tickets for the annual supper-dance and entertainment to be given by the Junior Auxiliary of the Chicago Home for Convalescent Women and Children at the Bal Ta- barin, Wednesday, November 4, at 9:30 o'clock.
