November 7, 1925 WINNETKA TALK AWAIT STATE MEETING North Shore Women Voters' Leagues Interested in Convention at Congress Hotel, November 10, 11 and 12 The Wilmette and Winnetka leagues of Women Voters are anticipating with interest the opening of the State [.eague convention at the Congress hotel, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thurs- day, November 110, 11 and 12. The pro- gram for each day has been arranged as to bring forward topics and ques- tions that are timely and of impor- tance. The outstanding events of the three day session will be as follows: November 10--A President's dinner will occur in the evening, at which local league presidents will be the guests at the Lake Shore apartment of Mrs. Augustus A. Carpenter. Miss Florence Harrison, fourth regional sec- retary will speak on the work of local leagues in other states, and the pres idents are to discuss "How to Use your Members, How to Get the Pro- gram Over, and the Financing of a Local League." November 11--A program of especial interest has been arranged for Arm- istice day. In the morning, Mrs. Medill McCormick and Mrs. Kellogg Fair- banks will discuss problems of partic- ular importance to women voters. In the afternoon, a tea will be given for the "New Voters," the students in uni- versities. Miss Cora Miller, assistant dean of women at the University of Illinois, will be the speaker, and in the evening, Major-General Henry T. Allen, com- mander of the American troops along the Rhine, who it stated is interested in an organization for peace, will give a talk. It is said that he has a prac- tical program for peace to present to the Middle West. November 12, will be the occasion of the Congressional luncheon when United States Senator William B.
