The Store of Good Shoes Board Faces Problem of Sidewalk Repairing Here Attention of the Village council was | called to the matter of sidewalk re-| pairs in a letter from a resident of | Provident avenue, received at the] council meeting Tuesday evening. The | letter complained of the condition of the sidewalk on Elm street near Prov- ident avenue, which, it is asserted, is under inches of water when there is a | heavy rain, and is covered with ice and slush in winter. Village Manager | H. L. Woolhiser told the council that a survey of all sidewalks in the village, made recently, showed that there were about 150 places that needed repairs. He asked the advice of the council in the matter of proceeding with a general plan of inducing property own- ers to repair their sidewalks where it is needed. The matter was referred to the streets, drainage and forestry com- mittee for further consideration. Mrs. Dorothy Ross Joins Heinsen and Kroll Staff Mrs. Dorothy K.
