16 WINNETKA TALK November 21, 1925 Seasonal _ many "Thanksgiving," the new Public Service company poster placed on the Rapid Transit company platforms of Chicago and on poster boards through- out the 221 communities served by the Public Service company of Northern Illinois, has met with much favorable public comment. Many letters of com- :| Cormick, Mrs. i) Bruns, soloist; Mrs. Florence Kost mendation have been received from clubs, churches, art societies and students. The success of the poster is at- tributed by art critics to its striking interpretation of the spirit of Thanks- giving Day in America. For this reason elementary and intermediate schools have placed the poster in class- rooms as a representation of the sturdiness of the Pilgrims and the hardships they endured. Oscar Rabe Hanson of Chicago, the artist, has painted several of the pre- vious posters which make up this in- teresting series by the Public Service company of Northern Illinois. : | noon meeting at 2, with Mrs. [sadore i | Siqueland, Dr. Clarence Wheaton, who {| will take as his Luggage and accessories of leather always have been most acceptable as gifts. 28 Ec ST.
