PARENTS GO TO SCHOOL Parents of New Trier high school students will have an opportunity to go through the regular schedule of their children at the meeting of the Parent-Teacher association to be held Thursday evening, December 3. A similar meeting held earlier in the fall was a great success. The pupils will not be present on this occasion. Invite Mothers to Hear Noted Psycho- Analyst Wednesday Wednesday evening, November 25, Frederick Pierce, who is internationally famous as a clinical and research psychologist, author and lecturer, will speak at the Evanston Woman's club at 8:15 o'clock, under auspices of the H. H. C. Miller School Mothers' club. Mr. Pierce is considered one of the four greatest psycho-analysts of the world. He is the author of "Mobil- izing the Mid-Brain." His subject Wednesday night will be "The new way with children and the problem of the American child." The committee feels that many mothers in north shore villages will not want to miss such an opportunity. Tickets may be obtained at the door, or from any member of the following committee of Evanston women, many of whom are well known on the north shore: Mrs. Frederick Connor, chairman; Mesdames C. A. Burnell, Richard Crampton, Duke Doubleday, Edward Hall, Bayless French, Donald Miller, William Mulholland, Ernest Palmer, Sidney Porter, Norman Parker and Alex Walz. ON CAROL COMMITTEE Mrs. Harold Ickes and Mrs. B. F. Langworthy of Winnetka are members of a committee formed by Harry Edward Freund for the purpose of singing Christmas carols throughout the city and subwbs Christmas Eve and morning. Others on the commit- tee include John J. Mitchell, Max Mason, Harry Pratt Judson, Walter Dill Scott, Frederick Stock, and William McAndrew. The music re- search bureau, 165 East Ontario street, will serve as headquarters for the committee and all information may be obtained there at any time Mr. and Mrs. William Coburn of Berkeley, Cal, are being congratulated upon the birth of a son, Sunday, No- vember 8. ' Mrs. Coburn was Miss Maud Hinman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hinman of Winnetka. Mrs. Hinman is visiting her daughter in Evanston. There will be bridge in the evening. Mrs. Howard Fenton of Winnetka is in charge of the food booth which will be conducted by the Mothers' association. The money raised at the bazaar will be given to the Gamma Phi House building fund. Mrs. Edward P. Bailey of 150 Lin- coln avenue, is now stopping at the Belmont hotel. FULLER DEAN ILL Mrs. Arthur R. Dean, 441 Willow street, was suddenly called East Tues- day of last week by the illness of her son, Fuller, who is a student at Yale. He was operated on for appendicitis, and is now convalescing satisfactorily. Mrs. Dean will remain with him until he has entirely recovered, it was said. Mrs. Mark Cresap, 239 Essex road, Kenilworth, was hostess to the reading club Wednesday.
