Glencoe Church Quartet Will Present Spirituals The quartet of the Glencoe Union church is giving a vesper service at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon, January 31, at which time the program will consist entirely of negro spirituals and will be most unusual and attractive. Mrs. Guy Stuart Bailey, soprano; Mrs. John Han- sel, contralto; Dr. Davies Lazear, ten- or; Mr. Charles Sutton, bass; Mrs. Dwight Orcutt, organist and director. Skokie school is preparing for a at the school and is in charge of a| 'MOVE INTO NEW HALL | Village Offices and Police Department Will Open for Business Monday Morning in New Quarters { This week-end will be moving time | for the village offices and the police | department of Winnetka, it is an- [nounced by Village Manager, H. L. | Woolhiser. The offices and the police | department will be open for business | Monday morning, February 1, in their | quarters in the new Village hall. The telephone number at the new Village hall is Winnetka 2500 and the | departments reached by this number | will be the general village offices, the water and light department, the public works department, the village service yard, the village attorney, the village | clerk and the village manager. The police department number will remain Winnetka 5 and the fire department number Winnetka 0. Council Chamber Unfinished | The council chamber of the new Vil- | lage hall has not been entirely com- pleted, as there has been a delay in in- | stalling a special rubber floor. Because some 'members of the council will be away next Tuesday evening it is pos- sible that there will be no council meeting, but if one is held it will meet in the general offices and not in the council chamber, it is explained. Much new furniture and equipment has been purchased for the new Village hall, and such old furniture as is used has been refinished to conform with the color scheme in the new building. Larger and more comfortable quarters have been provided for all departments and a much better arrangement of of- fices has been made, it is said. Mrs. William M.
