February 6, 1926 od bein WINNETKA TALK Country Day Athletes Busy With Basketball There was unusual activity in bas- ket ball circles at the North Shore Country Day school the past week. On Friday of last week, representa- tives of Lake Forest academy came down bringing two teams. The Lake Forest Bantams defeated the North Shore Reserves, 25 to 9, but in the] main game the North Shore team de- feated the Lake Farest Light team, 23 to 18. Monday of this week, the Skokie Experienced Lightweights defeated the North Shore Inexperienced Light- weights, 4 to 3, and on Tuesday of this week, two regular teams of the North Shore defeated their Skokie rivals, the heavyweights winning, 14 to 1, and the middleweights, 4 to 3. On Friday of last week the girls' heavyweight team of the North Shore was defeated by the Skokie heavyweight team, 14 to 10, and on Wednesday of this week the girls' lightweight team of the North Shore defeated the Skokie lightweights, 9 to 7. The last two teams played a game a week ago, in which the North Shores were victors, 18 to 9. Spring Is Near! and our new line of spring Coats, Dresses and Hats are on display.
