Phone Deerfield 241 Announcement We wish to announce that we have recently added a new Invalid Coach (more commonly called Ambulance) to our equipment. Aside from its beautiful and dignified appearance, its most pleasing feature is the side door loading, where the patient is placed into the Coach through the large side door, as in a private limousine, instead of through the rear door as in the old style ambulance. The Coach is equipped with full sized balloon tires and the cot is supplied with an air mattress which adds to the riding comfort of the patient. fan, etc., all of which add to the safety and convenience of the patient. Attendants Uniformed Women to Enjoy Social Program at Rotary Meet North shore women whose husbands are members of Rotary clubs have been invited to join with hundreds of other women in enjoying the special program of social features to be pro- vided for Rotary-Anns in connection with the Conference of the Fortieth District of Rotary clubs (northern Illinois) to be held in Evanston Mon- day and Tuesday of next week. Entertainment for the women will begin Monday at 1 o'clock when auto- mobiles will draw up at the Country club to convey them to the Uptown theater in Chicago, where a special block of seats has been reserved and a bill of extraordinary interest, and booked especially for the day, wiil be provided by the management. After the performance the Rotary-Anns wiil make a tour of inspection of the thea- ter and will then be taken to their hotels. At 6:30 o'clock, Monday, the wom- en will, of course, be the principal guests at the Governor's Banquet and Ball at the Edgewater Beach hotel. Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock the women guests will be invited to participate in a drive up the noith shore, returning to the Orrington hotel in time for luncheon at 12:30 o'ciock. Univ. 8507 street, has just returned from Wash- Announce Tentative Plans for Woman's Club Convention Women of the local board of the Illinois Federation of Women's clubs are busily engaged with their spring- time plans for the convention to be held May 18-21, at the Edgewater Beach hotel. Each morning session, it is announced, will open with assem- bly singing, pledge of "Allegiance to the Flag," and repeating of the Litany of the Club Women of America. There will be district chorus singing by the thirteenth, second, sixth, third, and tenth districts under the direction of Mrs. E. J. Murray, state chairman of music, at both morning and after- noon sessions. Tuesday evening during the art pro- gram, Miss Adelaide Berkeman of Chicago, pianist, will play, and at the Wednesday evening banquet the phili- con chorus will sing. This chorus Will represent Illinois at thé General Fed- eration convention in June at Atlantic City. Mrs. J. Clarke Phillips of Ben- ton, delightful violinist, will also play at this banquet. Thursday evening the Juniors will put on their musical program during their dinner, and following the dinner in the Assembly room, during the Educational program, of which Mrs. Grant Beebe is chairman, the Wauke- gan Woman's club trio will sing Other musical numbers will be addec as the program matures Mrs. Arthur Jackson, 7416 Yates avenue, Chicago, has been ratified by the local board as chairman of the decorating committee, and Mrs. Frank F. Collins of the Berywn Woman's club, as chairman of hospitality and courtesy. Mrs. William Franklin Farrell, pres- ident of the Tenth district, is chairman of the local board. Miss Ethel and Miss Margaret Gil- christ and Miss Mildred Burns, who have been in Wilmette during their spring recess from Dennison univer- sity, entertained some of the girls of the Shepardson College Glee club of Dennison university during their stay in Wilmette Friday night of last week. -- The Skokie Valley chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet Monday, April 26, at the home of Mrs. Karl B. Korrady, 527 Abbottsford road, Kenilworth.
