Downtown Evanston Utilities Companies Hold First Aid Test First aid life saving teams from the Chicago Rapid Transit company, Chi- cago, North Shore and Milwaukee railroad, Commonwealth Edison com- pany, Illinois Bell Telephone company, Public Service company of Northern Illinois, People's Gas Light and Coke company and the Western Electric In- stallers completed in the third an- nual First Aid contest at the First Regiment Armory Friday evening of last week. The contest was under the auspices of the Chicago chapter of the American Red Cross. Mrs. Walter Benson of 671 Lincoln avenue, who was in St. Louis attend- ing the convention of the League of Women Voters, is spending a short time at White Sulphur Springs with Mr. Benson, who went to St. Louis to meet her at the close of the con- vention. --Q-- Mr. and Mrs. William D. Randolph 1035 Hoid New Trier Junior Prom This Saturday Night Pupils of the junior and senior classes at New Trier nigh school will attend the annual Junior Prom, one of the big social events of the year at the school, this Saturday evening, April 24. The dance is being held much earlier than usual this year because the press of school work and social events near the close of the semester take up too much of the pupils time, it was said. The dance will be held at the school and will begin at 8:30 o'clock. The grand march will begin promptly at 9 o'clock. A junior or senior girl will be allowed to attend with an alumnus of the school but no "stags" will be al- lowed, it was announced this week. Those in charge of the affair are Tom Copeland, president; Helen Wray, vice-president ; Walter Neubacher, treasurer; Harriet Mons, secretary; the social committee is composed cf the following : Louise Clabaugh, Margaret Stults, Helen Wray, Virginia Evers, Ruth Wilcox, Harriet Mons, Bob Bur- rows, Tom Copeland, John West, Fred Hoerber, Bob Joy and Robert Martin. RETURN FROM EUROPE Dr. and Mrs. Charles King Corsant have just returned from a year's so- journ in Europe. They were accom- panied by Major and Mrs. Ednyfred William and Mrs. Corsant's brother, B. Bensinger, of Glencoe. Dr. and Mrs. Een have leased the Bensinger home for a year while Mrs. Bensinger remains abroad. Mr. Bensinger sails next week for Europe to join his wife in London. Mrs. Maurice Lieber gave her lec- ture, "Our Responsibility to the Chang- ing World" before the Parent-Teacher association of the junior and elemen- tary departments of the Francis Par- ker School of Chicago Wednesday, April 21.
