One night several months ago in Dr. T. Lyngholm's office in Hubbard Woods several fellows who liked to sing met to discuss the possibility of finding enough young men along the north shore with like tastes to form a club. They found them and we intro- duce them to you today. The success of the Troubadors is now assured. Mr. John Gunn of Hub- bard Woods, formerlv of the wide open spaces of Nebraska is doing with this group of young men what most of them believed was the impossible, but Mr. Gunn has trained other glee clubs and choruses. He is enthusiastic about our bovs! He says that the very fact that the boys are in the organization with only the incentive of enjoying the sound of their voices and the pleasure that song and harmony bring to them is prima facie evidence that they are They are contributing something worthwhile to the com- munity and should be encouraged. IS LUNCHEON HOSTESS Mrs. Frank Neubacher of 792 Wal- den road was hostess to 24 friends at luncheon and bridge Tuesday. The guest of honor was Mrs. Lincoln Pacey of Ash street who is leaving the village May 1, to take up her new residence at Shades of lavendar and yellow pre- vailed in the selection of flowers and appointments. A number of out of town guests were present. Sturgeon Bay, Wis. | of the Red Cross course in Home Hy- giene and Care of the Sick as given in schools and in women's and girls' clubs. This instruction is given by public health nurses, public school nurses and other qualified Red Cross instructors and has proved an important factor in promoting better health. The local chapter of the Red Cross supervises the work, supplies the equipment and is- sues certificates upon the completion of the course. Boys, as well as girls, are often en- rolled in this course. This year it has been given in the parochial schools to pupils of the seventh and eighth grades. More than 4,000 children have earned the certificates awarded jointly by the American National Red Cross and the Bureau of Child Welfare, Department of Health, Chicago. Any group desiring to form a class in Home Hygiene and Care of the Sick may arrange for it through Miss Estelle R.-Weltman, R. N., director of the Home Hygiene department, Ameri- can Red Cross, 616 South Michigan avenue, Chicago, it is announced. CIRCLE MEETS MONDAY The Walden Road circle will meet at the home of Mrs. Harold Hill, 801 Walden road, Monday, April 26, at 2:30 o'clock. Mrs. Charles Burk- hardt of Asbury avenue will sing two sroups of songs, accompanied by Mrs. George Orr, and Mrs. Howard Shaw will play several piano selections. Mrs. Nels Nelson of Orchard lane has returned from the St. Francis hos- pital. She is still in a rather serious condition.
