Rompers and creepers for small brother and sister come in sizes 1 and 2. id Mother will delight in { p, the beauty of our inex- pensive, machine - made sweaters as well as the ex- quisite hand-made ones for tots from 1 to 5. And Miss Thal has grown-ups' clothes, too. : Eorie That 565 Lincoln Avenue Winnetka = HOLD HEALTH WEEK Winnetka to Join With Other Com- munities of State in Program Next Week Winnetka is expected to join with other communities in Illinois in the active observance of Health Week, scheduled for April 25-May 1. The program observed generally throughout the state is essentially as follows : 1. Sunday, April 25: Health Sunday-- Health sermons and talks should be given before congregations and other gatherings. The promotion of clean healthful living manifestly conforms discipline. intimately with religious [3] Monday, April 26: Physical Exam- ination Day.--Public health authori- ties and eminent physicians are coming rapidly to regard periodic examinations of individuals as the most important means, under pres- ent day conditions, for improoving personal and community health. Adults should be encouraged on this day to arrange for a complete ex- amination by the physician. Civic clubs offer a splendid means of con- tact to this end. 3. Tuesday, April 27: Diphtheria Pre- vention Day.~--Decline in diphtheria prevalence has been phenomenal during the last two years. Cases have dropped from 10,000 to 5,000 annually and deaths from 1,000 to 500. This encouragement should stimulate especial effort toward a wider use of toxin-antitoxin for im- munizing susceptible children. 4. Wednesday, Vaccination Day. -- smallpox are expensive to health and to the pocket book. Surveys should be made in the schools on this day to discover who has not been vaccinated and to distribute literature to them. April 28: Smallpox Epidemics of 5. Thursday, April 29: Safe Milk and Safe Water Day.--Occasion should be taken to inquire into the char- acter of municipal milk and water supplies and the measures taken to prevent contamination. Friday, April 30: School Health Day.--Programs for instructing school children and their parents in the importance of a balanced diet should be arranged. Health playlets and songs and talks by doctors, nurses or dieticians make such pro- grams both . instructive and inter- taining. 7. Saturday, May, 1: Child Health Day.--May First will be observed as Child Health Day throughout the U. 8. The President and Secretary Hoover have endorsed it as such. This splendid opportunity for focus- ing community attention on child health should not be lost. BIGGER CLINIC FOR CHICAGO When the medical and dental clinics of Northwestern university are located in the Ward Medical-Dental center on the McKinlock Memorial campus in Chicago, the clinical service for Chi- cago will be considerably augmented. The new center will have space and equipment which is now lacking and which will mean the easy and success- ful treatment of thousands of cases, which cannot be handled in the most satisfactory fashion in present quar- ters. Probably no public clinic in the world will be better able to take care of needy cases than Northwestern un- der the new auspices. All of this was made possible by the munificence of Mrs. Montgomery Ward of Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. are giving up their apartment in Chi- cago and are moving to Winnetka the first of May where they have taken a house for a year. ---- Mrs. Cuthbert Adams of Winnet- ka with her daughter, Katherine, who is a student at Bryn Mawr, will sail June 5, to pass the summer abroad.
