i | May 8, 1926 WINNETKA TALK _ ww» Entertains College House Committee at Home in Glencoe Mrs. Andrew MacLeish entertain- ed at her home, Craigie Lea, Glencoe, ~ on the afternoon of May 3, the equip- ment committee, comprising members of the governing board of the Na- tional Kindergarten and Elementary college, interested in completing the furnishing of Harrison hall. Mrs. McLeish was a member of one of the first Mothers' classes conducted by Elizabeth Harrison, founder of the college, and was recently elected a member of the board of trustees. After a visit to the rock garden and a stroll through the grounds, the committee came to order for the con- sideration of the urgent need of equip- ping the auditorium with the 800 opera chairs required before any public meet- ing can be held in the college. Mrs. Macleish and the committee hope to present this need to all friends of the college within the next few weeks in order that the chairs may be in place for the commencement festivities early in June. The north shore is represented on the committee by the following mem- bers: Mrs. Robert Stoddard, Wilmette ; Mrs. Harry H. Barnum, Mrs. P. W. Bradstreet, Mrs. Towner K. Webster, Jr, Mrs. N. Landon Hoyt, Mrs. Douglas Smith, and Mrs. Merritt Starr, Winnetka; Mrs. William Suth- erland and Mrs. Andrew MacLeish, Glencoe. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen A. Foster of 506 Maple avenue are sailing today on the Olympic for Cherbourg. They are planning to join their daughter.
