The price reported to have been paid for this choice tract is $3,000, per acre, for which it is said Mr. Davisson, five years ago, when he was then a resident of Wilmette, paid $500 per acre and who has since resided on the place. The purchase, it is said, was made by Mr. Davisson not only to provide himself a country home, but also with the belief that a quickly enhanced value would prove a good investment, and the latter has indeed been sub- stantiated.
