The G-Boy is said to embody en- tirely new ideas in design and con- struction. Improved factory facilities and increased production enable Gra- ham Brothers to offer it at the un- usually low price of $885 f. 0. b. De- troit. Among the other advantages at- tributed to it are: rapid acceleration, an excess of pulling power, new heavy type transmission, sturdy frame and axles, comfortable riding qualities, light weight and attractive appearance. Dodge Brothers engine supplies the power. Severe tests made under unusual conditions have demonstrated that it is a truck of exceptional sturdiness, ac- cording to W. T. Wersted, local Dodge Brothers dealer. "The G-Boy truck was designed with a view to greater ease in handl- ing and for loading and unloading, especially where loading docks are not available," he said. "This has been accomplished at no sacrifice of the generous body capacity. The truck is gracefully low with steel spoke wheels, cream finished, with demountable rims and equipped with 30 x 5 cord tires. "Standard production of G-Boy trucks will include panel, canopy, screen canopy, carry-all, express and stake bodies. "The designers of the G-Boy were alive to the need for such a truck in light delivery operations as well as for capacity duty. It is well adapetd for all forms of delivery work, having a turning radius of 25 feet. This en- ables the operator to handle his truck with ease in the business as well as in the residential thoroughfares." Equipment includes all steel flat back shroud with standard instrument board, crowned steel fenders, front and rear; full length running boards with splash shields; front bumper; tire carrier under rear of frame; spare rim, electrical horn, two headlights with dimmer; tail light, instrument board light, license brackets, jack, grease gun, hand tire pump and full set of tools. Cotton, supervisor | of music at New Trier high school, | spoke before the Wilmette Rotary club this week regarding the func- | tioning and purposes of her depart- | ment at the secondary school. She cautioned the fathers of school boys | to by no means discourage their sons when the latter displayed apptiude in | the playing of musical instruments. The liking for music and the other arts dces not in any sense imply that the boy is efteminate, Mrs. Cotton asserted. It simply means that he possesses an appreciation of the finer things in life. It takes the finer things to make fine people. The common things make common people. En- courage your boy if he wants to go in for music. Mrs. Cotton's talk was supplement- ed with a group of numbers played by the New Trier Trio, George Swig- art, Jr., violin; Estelle Swigart, cello, and Frances Anderson, piano. These musicans were given an ova- tion by the Rotarians. They are soon to embark on a Chautauqua tour and have already gained an enviable rep- utation for their playing in the Chi- cago area. the side, tailgate and flareboards are | built up of wood and covered on the outside with sheet steel.
