The council presented, most dramatically, an original playlet en- titled, "Gee, we ain't got no chairs for our auditorium." The lack of chairs and the need for chairs were made equally evident and everyone agreed that "to sit on the floor is a terrible bore." The information that the chairs would cost $5 each and that nearly 800 were required was offset by the fact that the House committee of the Governing board had already accepted the responsibility for securing between 300 and 400 and the alumnae 200, leav- ing only 250 to be provided. Miss Smith then told the students of the plan suggested by College council, whereby each class would be responsi- ble for the sale of a certain number of chairs. The conclusion of her remarks was lost in a clamour of "I want one," "Put me down for two," "Three in the front row for me." The Senior class purchased the first two rows of the middle section and overflowed into the third. The faculty took the two rows on right and left, the Juniors have un- der written the next ninety-five seats and the Freshmen ninety-nine, and if the Governing board and the alumnae do as well there will be no cause for worry. "Lest Commencement, mid laughter, Find our guests on a rafter, Or down on the floor-- A terrible bore." Young Men's Class to Play Ball on Thursday Thursday evening, May 20, the Young Men's class of the Congrega- tional church school will have the second of its baseball games in the Lake Front park, Sheridan and Maple. Play starts at 6:30, and continues un- til the game is "called on account of darkness." All young men over the high school age are welcome. Sunday, May 16, the class will dis- cuss "How Should a Christian Spend Sunday?" The class meets at 10 o'clock in the North Neighborhood room of the Community House.
