May 15, 1926 WINNETKA TALK 41 Mary Honnold Selects Home as Setting for Wedding Wednesday In the intimate families and and with the Hon- nold home with its masses of artistic spring flowers as a setting, Miss Mary Josephine Honnold, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Honnold of 457 Ash street, became the bride of Gordon Webster Daly, son of - Mr. and Mrs; Franklin P. Daly of Brookline, Mass., Wednesday evening, May 12. The Rev. James Austin Richards read the service at 8:30 o'clock. Mrs. Evelyn Martin Goetz, a friend of the bride, played the wedding march, which was preceded by the in- termezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana. The bride's dress was of chiffon and lace over silver cloth, with a silver cloth train. The tulle veil had a Duchess lace head dress fastened with orange blossoms. Her bouquet was of lillies of the valley, sweet peas, and gardenias. The maid of honor, the bride's sister, Miss Virginia Honnold, was gowned in pink over rose geor- gette, and the two bridesmaids, Miss Ethel Arries and Miss Emily Irwin of Rogers Park, were in dresses of pow- der blue over pink georgette. Silver lace was used to trim the frocks of the three attendants who carried bouquets of spring flowers to blend with their dresses. Donald Kelso of Philadelphia served Mr. Daly as best man, and the ushers were Walker Daly of Brookline, Ro- land Popken of Oak Park, Wilder Morrison of Rogers Park, and Jack Bruce of Milwaukee. For years Lusk has been a favorit with Prague audiences and on this initial concert he was received with the greatest en- thusiasm. Prominent among the fash- ionable audience present was Lewis Einstein, U. S. Ambassador to Czecho- Slovakia and the British minister Hon. William Clark. At the end of the second movement of the d'Ambrosio concerto, Lusk re- ceived an ovation of several minutes duration. Again he proved his com- plete mastery of his instrument, a magnetic and forceful personality and a remarkable power of interpretation. Many encores were as usual demand- ed toward the end of the program. Mrs. Roy C. Osgood, 423 Essex road, Kenilworth, entertained the Home and Garden club Monday at her home. Mrs. Benjamin Gage of Evanston read a paper on "Perpetual Bloom," and sang a group of garden songs.
