This department will specialize in the sale of art lamp shades, placques and similar objects. There will also be free instruction in art work on the various articles sold in the department. The public is invited to mspect. the new department. -~ Clear Skokie Ditch in Battle Against Skeeter The Chicago Sanitary District plans to remove obstructions in the Skokie from the Cook County line to the point where the creek merges with the northern branch of the Chicago river, so that the sewage polluted water will be flowed off, instead of be- ing allowed to become stagnant, it was announced this week by Arthur Stringer.
