Daly Mrs. Gordon Webster Daly, former- ly Miss Mary Josephine Honnold of Winnetka, was a bride of May 12. The wedding was a home ceremony per- formed at the residence of the bride's mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Honnold of 457 Ash street. After their wedding trip to Cape Cod, Mr. and Mrs. Daly will reside in Brookline, Mass., the home of the bridegroom's parents. Miss Audrey Sfixrud, 607 Willow road, entertained 16 guests in honor of Miss Gladys Madsen Friday, May 12, at a miscellaneous shower and tea at her home. ------ Mrs. B. F. Langworthy spoke on "What Women Have Done With the Vote" last Tuesday at the luncheon meeting of the Zonta club. | | North Shore Garden Club Plans Program for Entire Summer Mrs. J. Harry Selz of Sheridan road, Glencoe, is honorary president of the North Shore Garden club, and Miss Amy Rothschild also of Glencoe, is the chairman of the program committee that has completed its plans for this summer, The first of the talks was given by Dudley Crafts Watson, May 18, on "Color in the Open." On Thursday, June 10, E. H. Wilson from the Arnold Arboretum, Harvard university, will speak on "America's Greatest Gar- dens." Mrs. Charles Hubbard of Win- netka will give two lectures during June. Robert Cram of Boston will give an illustrated talk on "Gardens in the United States." July 1 and 20, Profes- sor Dorner of the University of Illinois will tell the club how best to plan the planting of flowers for late blooming. The annual flower show of the or- ganization is scheduled for late August and September 1. Professor Lloyd will speak on the growing and care of the vegetable garden. CALL BUILDERS MEETING The New Trier Chapter of the Build- ers announce a special meeting to be held at the Winnetka Masonic temple Tuesday evening, May 25, at 7 o'clock, for the purpose of rehearsal of degree work. All officers of the chapter have been especially urged to attend this meeting. DEPICT SHAKESPEARE At the North Shore Country Day school the morning exercise program for this week has consisted largely of active scenes from various plays of Shakespeare, presented by members of the eighth and ninth grades.
