Many of the songs lend themselves naturally to dramatization or charac- terization, since most of them are Folk songs or traditional melodies. When a song does that it is felt the corres- ponding action has been used either in playing or in enrythmics. In the Primary department the chil- dren are using songs representing birds, bees, bunnies, caterpillars, butterflies, all living creatures of any small child's experience. The older children have chosen dramatization chiefly. The four sea- sons are depicted with activities be- longing to each: Autumn--Ileaves, dryads, wind. Winter--Jack Frost, snow. Spring--robins, bluebirds, bunnies, caterpillars, allegory of sunrise. Summer--bees, sheep, elfins, sypsies. Prepare Christmas Boxes for Shipment to Orient On Sunday, June 6, the church school of the Winnetka Congregational church will have what has been termed a "White Christmas." At this time, every member of the school will bring | some useful article to be sent to the Wolsteds in India and the Reynolds, in China. "These donations are sent over as Christmas greetings, from our children to their children," Dr. J. W. F. Davies explains. "Christmas may seem a long way off, but the time limit in which these presents must be forwarded in order to reach our mis- sionaries, for distribution in those countries, is near at hand, and the ship- ments will be made on schedule time." Mrs. Walter Noble Gillett, 624 Ab- bottsford road, Kenilworth, entertain- ed her bridge club at luncheon Wed- nesday, May 19. ESTABLISH BANK FOR HUBBARD WOODS AREA Ground to be Broken Next Week for New Financial House at 954 Linden Avenue Hubbard Woods, one of the most rapidly growing sections on the entire north shore, is to have a new bank. The site has been purchased, a fifty foot frontage immediately south of the real estate office of Frank A. Reid at 954 Linden avenue. Ground will be broken next week and the structure rushed to an early completion, by the latter part of August or the first of September, it is said. The building will be of brick, one story high and especially designed for the modern, up-to-date bank which it is to house. Capitalized at $50,000 The name of the new bank will be the Hubbard Woods Trust and Sav- ings bank, capitalized at $50,000 and with a surplus of $12,500. The stock has all been subscribed and the char- ter issued. The business activities on Linden avenue which have been so pronounced and continuous for the past several months is thus given its greatest impetus. Business vacant in this particular section of Hubbard Woods has more than trebbled in value, in recent months, it is said. The sale of the lot on which the new bank is to be erected was negotiated through the real estate firm of Frank A. Reid. Prominent Backers The officers of the new bank will be announced later. Prominent among the men who are back of its organization are Markham B. Orde, August Zies- ing, Walter J. McGuire and John Jef- frey, all of Glencoe and William T. Bacon, Calvin Fentress and F. E. Bartelme, of Winnetka. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Fitch, formerly of Kenilworth, have purchased the Bentley McCloud home at 416 Cum- nor road. They will occupy their new residence in June.
