The seller is Edward J. Brundage, former- ly attorney general for the State of Illinois, the purchaser is Charles S. Ellis, vice president of the Peabody Coal company. Demand for Home Property Shows Active Increase McGuire and Orr's Winnetka office reports an increased inquiry for resi- dence property dating from early April. Among the sales credited to this of- fice are the northeast corner of Berkeley avenue and Spruce street, Winnetka, size 100 by 190 feet. This property was transferred from Arthur M. Cox and C. D. Dallas to Dr. Ed- ward Oliver. Mr. Richard M. Stearns has pur- chased the residence of Richard W. Carlsten at 326 Woodland avenue, Winnetka. The home of C. R. Two residence lots were also sold, one in Winnetka and one in High- land Park. The one in Winnetka was sold by H. E. and L. E. Crosby and J. J. and M. C. Kutten to David Oliver, the builder. The property is on Walnut street, Winnetka, and has a frontage of 50 feet. F. P. Malone of the Winnetka office of Quinlan and Tyson, Inc., was the broker. F. W.
