By bringing their Cadillacs to the Serv- ice Department at 500 mile intervals, owners keep them thoroughly and prop- erly oiled and greased. The cost of this service is actually less than the retail price of the lubricants alone. It is not even necessary for owners to keep a record of when this lubricating Notice is kept constantly before them by an unobtrusive slip on the face of the speedometer. CADILLAC MOTOR CAR COMPANY, EVANSTON BRANCH Division of Gi ! Motors Corporati University 8600 Rogers Park 9133 ---b To Dedicate Masonic Monument June 20 at North Shore Cemetery A remarkably beautiful Masonic monument will be dedicated at 2 p. m. Sunday afternoon, June 20, at the North Shore cemetery. The principal speaker will be ex-Governor A. O. Eberhart of Minnesota. John West- ern, who is head of the North Shore cemetery, is a former Evanston resi- dent. Ten years ago Mr. and Mrs. West- ern were well known in the activities of the First Methodist church of Ev- anston. During their somewhat brief residence here they became well ac- quainted with many of Evanston's most substantial citizens. Mr. Western and a few Michigan capitalists had become interested in a Chicago mausoleum company which did not materialize by reason of the inactivity of the president. When these Michigan investors demanded a show-down the control of the com- pany was turned over to them. At this point the other stockholders in- sisted that Mr. Western should take active control of the corporation. While the necessary legal formal- ities were being consummated Mr. Western discovered that the North Shore had no cemetery worthy of the culture and prosperity of .this great suburban residence district. There up- on he resolved to make a real ceme- tery before proceeding to erect a great community mausoleum. After . several months of ihvestigation of the territory north of Chicago, a site on the Greenbay road was chosen for this now famous necropolis." It is lo- cated on the divide between the Mis- sissippi and the St. Lawrence river basins, five miles north of Lake For- est. Already it has several examples of strikingly beautiful and massive architecture. The grounds consti- tute a vertiable arboretum and land- scape garden not surpassed anywhere in the country. A description, of the North Shore cemetery is contained in advertise- ments in this issue. Further announce- ments concerning the features of the dedicatory program will be given in the issue of next week. Christian Science Churches "God the Only Cause and Creator" was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in" all Churches of Christ, Scientists, Sunday, June 6. The Golden Text was from Nehe- miah 9:6, "Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou hast n. .de heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee." Among the citations which com- prised the Lesson-Sermon was the following from the Bible: "O Come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand" (Psalms 95:1,3,6,°7.). The Lesson-Sermon also included the following passage from the Chris- tian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy: "God is individual, incorporeal. He is divine Principal, Love, the universal® cause, the only creator, and there is no other self-ex- istence. He is all- inclusive, and is re- flected by all that is real and-eternal and by nothing else" (p. 331).
