Pearce, Jr. The marriage of Miss Katherine Whitney Wortley, daughter of Mrs. Eloise Whitney Wortley, of Winnetka, to Charles Francis Pearce, Jr. son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Francis Pearce, of Glencoe, took place Saturday afternoon, June 12, at 4, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur W. Cushman of Winnetka. Only the immediate families and a few friends were present. Miss Wortley was attended by Miss Dorothy Klotz of Winnetka as her maid of honor, and her little cousin, Juliette Potter of Saint Joseph, Mo., as flower girl. Harold Wilder of Lake Forest acted as best man for Mr. Pearce. The bride wore a period dress of ivory satin trimmed with flowers of the same, and a bertha and inserts of rosepoint and duchess lace. She car- ried a shower bouquet of lilies-of-the- valley and white roses. Miss Klotz was attired in a quaint blue taffeta dress trimmed with pink roses, and she wore a pink picture hat. She car- ried an arm bouquet of pale pink roses and blue larkspur. Little Juliette Pot- ter wore a frock of pale pink crepe de chine, and carried a small basket of dainty flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Pearce will be in Wyoming for several weeks. When they return, they will reside in Glen- coe. SUMMONED BY DEATH Funeral services for Charles S. Den- nis, father of Mrs. Dudley C.
