Carleton Kaumeyer to Appear With Symphony Carleton Kaumeyer, Wilmette musi- cian is appearing as violin soloist with the Chicago Symphony orchestra at the Commencement concert of the Chicago College of Music Saturday evening, June 19, at the Eighth Street theatre, Chicago. He will play the Max Busch G. Minor Concerto. Mr. Kaumeyer, in addition to his pro- fessional activities, is opening and managing a piano salesroom, the Chick- ering Studio, at 527 Davis street, Evans- ton. He will carry a complete line of Chickering and Sons, Marshall and Wendell, the Brewster pianos and the Ampico. Mr. and Mrs. William J. Fischer, 388 Chestnut street, will spend three months at their summer cottage, Gil- more Lake, Minong, Wis. Mr Fischer and his son, Robert, have gone to the cottage, and will be joined by Mrs. Fischer and William, who leave June 22. The kindergarten, first and fourth grades of school closed directly after their commencement exercises. The fifth grade was dismissed on Thursday and the sixth grade on Fri- day. Wednesday, likewise, was the date of the annual upper school luncheon. The entire upper school, together with the alumni and the parents of the members of the senior class, assembled in the lunch room where a luncheon was served them by members of the lower grades. Following a few speeches and formal presentations of gifts symbolizing the thought of various classes and the re- sponsibility now passed on by the seniors, the entire group repaired to the girls' gymnasium where the annual program of surprise stunts was pre- sented by the various classes. There were any number of take-offs or Dburlesques, and a thoroughly artistic, if somewhat up- roarious presentation of the Pyramus and Thisbe scene from Shakespeare's "Mid Summer's Night Dream."
