June 19, 1926 WINNE TKA TALK Attractive Wilmette Home Taken by Automobile Man Daniel E. Bull, of Rogers Park, has purchased through R. M. Johnston and company, of 340 Linden avenue, Wil- mette, for October 1 occupancy, the attractive seven-room residence prop- erty of Carl G. Lagergren, at 1523 Spencer avenue, Wilmette. Mr. Lagergren is with Roberts and Schaefer, consulting engineers, in the Wrigley building. Mr. Bull is in the automobile business. The property involved in this trans- action is one of the most attractive homes in the west area of Wilmette. It is not only pleasing in design and construction, one is informed, but its attractiveness is further enhanced by the beautiful landscaped grounds on which it is located. Louisville Man Heads National Realty Board C. C. Hieatt, president of the Con- solidated Realty company of Louisville, Ky., and member of the law firm of Hieatt, Scheirich and Marshall, of Louisville, was elected president of the National Association of Real Estate boards for the year 1927 at the annual convention of the association just closed at Tulsa, Oklahoma. Fred E. Reed of Oakland, Cal, was chosen first vice-president of the as- sociation. Joseph K. Brittain of Chi- cago was elected treasurer. SELL EVANSTON TRACT R. M. Johnston and company, real estate brokers at 340 Linden avenue, Wilmette, report the sale of fifty feet of business vacant on Dodge avenue, near Main street, Evanston, for Lucy V. Furlong, of Evanston, to Edith O. Taft, of Wilmette, for an undisclosed consideration. Chicago Attorney Buys Large Rand Road Tract E. W. Shaw, a Chicago attorney, through the real estate firm of R. M. Johnston and company, 340 Linden avenue, Wilmette, has purchased the ten-acre tract on Rand road at Pala- tine road, the consideration, it is said, being $1,000 per acre. This piece was formerly owned by a syndicate and the new owner, it is said, will improve it with the erection of a gasoline filling station and lunch room. It is a splendidly located tract, hav- ing about a quarter of a mile frontage on Rand road and eight hundred feet on Palatine road. BUY 200 FEET VACANT Hill and Stone, of 404 Linden ave- nue, Wilmette, report the sale of 200 feet of vacant for the Chicago Real Estate Loan and Trust company, on the south side of Greenleaf avenue be- tween Eight and Ninth streets, Wil- mette. The purchaser, it is said, ex- pects to improve the property.
