Laura Fisher Sailing Today for Trip Abroad Miss Laura E. Fisher, assistant to the treasurer of the Winnetka Congre- gational church, left June 24, sailing for Europe from Montreal today on the Ascania of the Cunard line. Miss Fisher will tour Europe for three months as a member of the Morgan party conducted by Professor B. Q. Morgan, under the direction of the Temple tours. The party is small, being limited to ten, including Profes- sor Morgan. The group will visit France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Holland, Czecho-Slovakia and England. Besides Miss Fisher from Winnetka, Mr. and Mrs. Lee F. English and their son, Ralph, of Wil- mette, will accompany the party. Ralph graduated from Northwestern univer- sity this June. Plan Special Summer Sermons for Children A special feature of the Sunday morning worship at the Winnetka Congregational church, during the summer months, is to be a brief sermon to the boys and girls, each Sunday morning. The church school is having its vaca- tion, but the ministers want the chil- dren to know that they are not for- gotten through the summer months, it is explained. The ministers hope the parents will make it a custom to bring their chil- dren with them to these services. FORM NEW PAINTING CLASS The class in out of door painting un- der the instruction of Frank Peyraud of Judson avenue, Ravinia, and at- tended by a group of artists who have been painting in the beautiful country surrounding Half Day, has so increased, that another class is being formed which will meet Friday mornings. * Trade Mark Reg. M. Peterson issued a warning this week that the Village ordinance prohibiting the use and sale of fireworks would be strictly enforced. Part of the ordinance is quoted as follows: "No person, firm or corporation shall sell, offer for sale, loan or give away to any retail dealer, consumer or user, located within the Village of Winnetka any toy pistol, toy gun, toy cannon, blank cartridge, fire-cracker, rocket, torpedo, squib or other fireworks or any substance consisting of chloride of potash and sulphur or any device for discharging or exploding such sub- stances by concussion." The ordinance goes on to prohibit any person, firm or corporation from setting off any of the above mentioned fireworks and provides a fine of from $10 to $100 for violation of the ordin- ance. Chief Peterson warns all that offenders will be prosecuted. Daughter of Real Estate Man Hurt in Auto Crash Margaret Stults, 15 years old, daugh- ter of E. E. Stults, prominent north shore and Chicago real estate dealer, was painfully bruised and shaken up, and was cut on the head when a car which she was driving collided with one driven by Walter Stelzel, professional at the Winnetka Playfield golf course last Wednesday afternoon. The crash occurred at Cedar and Elm street. With Miss Stults were Mary Forest, 14 vears old, 485 Willow street, and- Jane Fitzgerald, 13 years old, Sheridan road and Willow street. No one but Miss Stults was injured. She was attended by Dr. Margaret N. Levick and was later taken to the Evanston hospital Miss Ruth Rudolph, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Rudolph, 889 Cherry street, has returned home from the University of Illinois, where she has finished her freshman year.
