Hamburger, 502 Willow street, Win- netka, to George Meyer, took place Monday evening, June 21, at 9:00 o'clock, at the bride's home. The bride was dressed in white chif- fon, wearing long sleeves, and carry- ing a prayer-book, which was marked with an unusual and dainty bookmark of long white ribbons decorated with lilies of the valley. Mrs. Walter V. Wolff of St. Louis as maid of honor, and Miss Ruth Hamburger, sister of the bride, wore flesh colored chiffon. The ceremony took place under an arch of Syringa and columbine. The decorations of the home consisted al- most entirely of pink and white peonies. Mr. and Mrs. Meyer sailed from Montreal Friday, on the steamer Mont- rose, on an extensive European trip through England, Holland, Belgium and France. Upon their return late in the summer they will live in Evans- ton. HEADS ALUMNI Charles I.. Haight of Evanston, who resigned because of business demands upon his time. It has been voted to change the system of class reunion so that those gradu- ating within a period of five years will hold their reunions at the same time, it is stated. A group of former college friends of Mrs. Ernest Putman Clark, 530 Sun- set road, gave her a surprise party, June 14, at her new home on Sunset road. Christian Science Churches "Is the Universe, Including Man, Evolved by Atomic Force?" was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Ccientists, Sun- day, June 20. The Golden Text was Isaiah 42:8, "I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to an- other, neither my graven images." Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon was the following from the Bible: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was. God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made" (John 1:1-3). The Lesson-Sermon also included the following passage from the Chris- tian Science textbook, "Science #nd Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy: "Infinite Mind creates and governs all, from the mental molecule to infinity. This divine Principle of all expresses Science and art throughout His creation, and the immortality of man and the universe. Creation is ever appearing, and must ever continue to appear from the nature of its inexhaustible source" (p. 507). Mr. and Mrs. Leonard H. Roach of 292 Sheridan road, accompanied by their daughters, the Misses Katherine and Rosalie, will leave July 5, for an extensive trip through the Canadian Rockies to Vancouver and from there by boat to San Diego, Cal.
