> -~ - . + oe -- i July 3, 1926 WINNETKA TALK Fined for Driving While Intoxicated, After Crash Albert Nafe, Jr.,, of Highland Park was fined $20 and costs by Police Magistrate C. T. Northrop last Satur- day on a charge of driving a car while intoxicated. Nafe had been arrested by Winnetka police in Hubbard Woods Friday noon, after he had backed his car into a truck owned by Busto Demma, of Winnetka. Follow- ing the accident he ran into a garage and the police were notified by Mrs. M. Pfeiffer, 1500 Tower road. Nafe is the son of a Highland Park grocer. Mr. and Mrs. Charles O. Aspenwall, 1195 Tower road, have been entertain- ing Mrs. Ellen Aspenwall, of Deer- field, Wis.,, Mr. Aspenwall's mother, who will spend three weeks visiting her son. They have also had as ther guest, Miss Helen Bowl, of Hot Springs, Ark. CHRISTIAN SCIENCE SERVICE " The lesson sermon at First Church of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday morn- ing, July 4, will be "God." Services will be held in the Masonic temple at 708 Elm street, at 11 o'clock, and the testimonial meeting is held on Wednesday evening, at 8 o'clock. The Christian Science reading room at 526 Linden street, is open daily from 12 until 6 p. m. Harry C. Edmonds, 670 Blackthorn road, returned to Winnetka June 29, after a seven weeks' trip abroad. Mr. Edmonds arrived on the Atlantic Transport liner, Minnetonka, which reached New York June 28, from London and Cherbourg. Oe J. Fred McGuire and family have 'eturned from Florida and have moved into their new home which they pur- chased some time ago at 565 Sheridan road. Indian Hill Country club will have a program of special golf and tennis events over the week end, in celebra- tion of the Fourth of July, it was an- nounced this week. There will be events on Saturday, Sunday and Mon- day. On Saturday evening there will be a dinner dance beginning at 7:30 o'clock, the dancing starting at 9 o'clock. Dr. Sofia Haag of Winnetka sailed on the Baltic June 26, from New York, for Europe. She will visit her mother in Sweden, and spend several months in study.
