He is aiming at $100 as this year's quota. In order to raise the $100 Bruce has to go to new neighborhoods, and in- terest new children. With a trailer attached to his automobile, he can carry six passengers at once, and return them safely to the starting place. With the tiny headlights lit, the red-tail light as protection, and armed with a real French horn, Bruce can while away the twilight hours for children as well as the day light hours. This car of Bruce's, is an electric automobile, with fenders, rubber-tired wheels, a long low hood, resembling a racer, and equipped with the most mod- ern accessories. It even has a clock on the dashboard. If you will call up Bruce at Winnetka 2192 he will bring his car and the trailer to your street and take you all riding for 5 cents. If you go down to his house he will give you as many chances as you want to pull a prize, for 3 cents a pull. Bruce was written up in the Chicago Daily News many times last year, and contributed the largest amount of money earned by one person for the sani- tarium. He worked hard for that money, and is expecting to increase the amount to an even $100 this year, His car is strong and safe, says his father who has ridden on it himself. Sorority Houses Building permits for the erection of fourteen girls' sorority houses on the new women's campus of Northwestern university were taken out at the city hall this week for a total sum of ap- proximately $1,050,000.
