He realized that the amount he was spending on rent could just as well be going into a house of his own--and he acted on the idea. We will build one for you and through our financing plan it need cost you no more than you are now throwing away on rent. SMARGIEE 1564 Sherman Avenue Evanston Many Visit New Model Home in Winnetka Sunday A conservative estimate of the num- ber of people who visited Winnetka's model home, at 420 Maple avenue, last Sunday is placed at 500. Edward T. Leonard, the Winnetka contractor and builder who designed and built this house, and whose first and only public announcement of the same appeared in the form of an advertisement and an article in the WiLMET™E Lire, WINNETKA TALk and GLENCOE NEws last week, de- clared the response thereto, was marvelous. It resulted in an all day reception. People began coming early in the morning, and they continued coming all day. They have continued to come all week. The house is not yet finish- ed, particularly the decorations, but it is so nearly ready for occupancy that the public is able to appreciate what Mr. Leonard is giving in his Model Home plans. He is being congratulated upon every hand for the introduction of plans that are different, and whose artistic beauty as embodied in the Spanish architectural designs are so fittingly appropriate to north shore sections. Mr. Leonard says he has received numerous requests from people who are contemplating home building for conferences with them regarding plans of a similar home.
