K. Meyer, Winnetka banker, will erect at the northwest corner of Elm and Chest- nut streets, Winnetka, is underway. The M. K. Meyer residence which has occupied this corner for many years is being moved to Chestnut and Cherry streets and on its former site will rise one of Winnetka's finest business blocks. The new building will be three stories in height, having a frontage of 187 feet on Elm street and 150 feet on Chestnut. The first floor will be de- voted to store rooms, the second story to offices and apartments and the third story to apartments exclusively. The building will cost approximately $180,- 000 and Mr. Meyer says he hopes to have it completed by May 1, 1927. PLEASURE JAUNT TO SCHOOL George Stone of Wilmette, and Leon- ard Schmitz of Glencoe, left Wednes- day to enter Dartmouth college. They went from here to Detroit, then on by boat to Montreal and from there to their destination at Hanover. Cae Miss Marion Schell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Schell, 933 Linden street, left last Thursday for Spring- field, Ohio, where she will enter the freshmen class at Wittenberg college. Miss Schell will reside in Ferncliffe hall. i Mrs. Victor L. Cunnyngham and her son, William, 710 Lincoln avenue, have returned after two months spent in Estes Park, Col, and one month at their camp, "Contentment Lodge," Pine Island, Connors, Lake, Wis. They spent much of their time en- joying the horseback riding in Estes Park.
