Eom September 18, 1926 WINNETKA TALK Graham Brothers Truck Meets Immediate Demand Up to the close of business August 28, Dodge Brothers dealers in the United States and Canada had deliv- ered 225 of the Graham Brothers new two-ton trucks which were announced to the public August 21. Graham Brothers report total shipments of 907 two-ton trucks up to August 28 and that on .that date they held unfilled orders from dealers for 403 of this capacity. "The large and immediate demand for Graham Brothers new two-ton truck," declares W. T. Wersted, local dealer, "is exactly what would be ex- pected by one familiar with the eco- nomical and dependable performance of their one-ton and their ton-and-a- half trucks. Like the two smaller mod- els, this large truck is available with bodies designed and built at the fac- tory to serve the requirements of al- most all vocations requiring trucks of two-ton capacity. "Dodge Brothers three-quarter-ton commercial cars and the three capaci- ties of Graham Brothers trucks with the various bodies supplied by the makers, are adapted to the needs of over 400 different vocations and now meet over 90 per cent of all commer- cial haulage requirements." MOTORISTS' FROLIC Association of Illinois to Stage Annual Outing at Ryans Woods Sunday, September 19 More than 50,000 motorists from Chicago, its suburbs and outlying towns will be guests at the annual picnic of the Motorists Association of Illinois in Ryan's Woods, September 19. Hugo Meyer, secretary-manager of the club, has invited members and their friends to this event, which is expected to break all picnic attend- ance records for Cook county. The picnic will be unique in that there will be no competitive events. Guests will not be required to roll pea- nuts with their noses, and fat ladies will remain as inconspicuous as iheir more sylph-like sisters. Festivities will begin in the morning with a parade in which thousands of gaily decorated cars will take part. Under the direction of a grand mar- shal each suburban and state branch of "the club will motor to the picnic grounds where they will assemble foi the parade into the woods. Within the gates, Capt. William Enright, general chairman of the picnic, will award a silver loving cup to the driver of the best decorated car. Entertainment will be continuous during the day. Two orchestras have been engaged for the ballroom danc- ing, and a special cabarét troop wiil entertain during the picnic box lunch.
