Se September 25, 1926 WINNETKA TALK \ : 11 North Shore Has Fastest Electric Trainin all U.S. The fastest electric train in United States is the Metropolitan Limited, operated by the North Shore line daily from Milwaukee to Chicago, according to a survey made by Electric Traction. This train leaves Milwaukee Term- inal, Sixth and Sycamore streets, at 3:55 p. m,, and arrives at Randolph and Wells street station in the Chicago Loop at 5:53 p. m., standard time, cov- ering the distance of approximately eighty-five miles in one hour and fifty- eight minutes and making three stops en route. e Several other North Shore line limited trains make almost as good time between Milwaukee and Chicago. The Northland Limited, northbound, and the Interstate and Illinois Limiteds, southbound, make the run in exactly two hours. The Badger Limited, southbound, is scheduled at two hours and one minute, while three other limiteds cover the distance in two hours and two minutes. The North Shore line operates twenty limited dining and parlor-ob- servation car trains daily between Chi- cago and Milwaukee. All of these trains bear special names. A total of eighteen limiteds are operated north- bound and nineteen southbound daily between Chicago and Milwaukee over the new Skokie Valley route. the Former Winnetkan Dies at Home in Wilmette A resident of Winnetka for twenty- six years, Edward Struggles, 1620 Spencer avenue, Wilmette, died Tues- day, September 21, at his home. Mr. Struggles was born in 1840 at Heckington, Lincolnshire, England, coming to the United States in 1871. He moved to Michigan, and then to Chicago the year before the World's Fair. Coming to Winnetka about 1899, he lived there for twenty-six years, and was well-known by many of the older residents, as well as new Winnetka people. He is survived by three daughters and a son: Miss Lily Struggles who made her home with her father: Mrs. Alexander McNab of Cleveland, Ohio; Miss Eva Struggles of Los Angeles, Cal, and William G. Struggles, 609 Cherry street, Winnetka. Marion Struggles, his wife, died ten years ago, in Winnetka. Funeral services were held Thurs- day, September 23, at 3 o'clock at 1620 Spencer avenue, Wilmette. Rev. James Austin Richards officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar B. Baumann, with their daughter, Christine, and son, Edward, 279 Linden street, have re- turned from a three months' trip abroad. gr Mrs. Frank M.
