There is apparently something to suit seldom meted out in an evening. each taste from light opera to the r " Le] . - y . . Needless to say, "Partners Again" | questionable farce. They deal in the "Schenckmann Six," a car principally noted for its faults. Many and harrassing are their experiences in demonstrating the new models, and many hair-breadth es- capes are their lot. In addition the latest Harry Langdon two-reel comedy, "Plain Clothes," and a Pathe news reel will.be shown. NORSHORE THEATRE Russia--quaint, mysterious, rough, fickle Russia--provides the background for Corinne Griffith's latest First Na- tional picture, "Into Her Kingdom," which opens Sunday at Balaban and Katz' Norshore theatre. The brilliant and popular star has been given her most dramatic and undoubtedly most impressive character. The picture was directed by the famous Danish director, Svend Gade and the leading male role is played by the Swedish star, Einar Hanson, giving the picture a cosmopolitan touch. Claude Gillingwater and Charles Croc- kett are in the supporting cast. The second half of the week brings a new farce-comedy with a splendid cast to view. Norma Shearer, Conrad Nagel, George K. Arthur and Mary McAlister are the principal 'stars and the picture is called "The Waning Sex." Appropriate stage. screen and musical specialties are always pre- sented in conjunction. Miss Ethel Hale, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry R. Hale, 761 Foxdale avenue, has returned to Elmira college, Elmira, N. Y. --O-- Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Anderson, 178 Myrtle street, have returned from an extended trip through Canada. "KONGO" Princess theatre An exciting and thrilling play of jungle life despite a plot more or less mediocre. You will be fascinated by the splendid acting of Walter Huston and interested by the interpretations of Clarence Redd, Richard Stevenson and Harold de Becker to such an ex- tent that the short-comings of the plot may be overlooked. See it for thrills and chills. -- "THE VAGABOND KING" Great Northern theatre One of the outstanding musical en- tertainments of the year in which Den- nis King and a host of others, includ- ing Aleta Edwards, present this musi- cal version of "If I Were King," to the delight of capacity audiences. A brief canvas of those who have seen it develops the almost unanimous opin- ion that it excels even "The Student Prince." "SONG OF THE FLAME" Apollo theatre Tessa Kosta and Guy Robertson, with more than a hundred others, including the Russian Art Choir, present Otto Harbach's and Oscar Hammerstein's musical production which deals histori- cally with Russia during the world war. Scenic effects and costumes are splen- did and the singing excellent. Enter- tainment of the highest class. --THESPIAN RECOVERING FROM ILLNESS William Ayer McKinney returned to Winnetka last Monday from the East. He left Mrs. McKinney at Northfield, Mass, where their daughter, Mar- garet, is rapidly recovering from pneumonia. | Village Theatre Your Home Theatre J. B.
