It is stated that dancing will not be the only entertainment, several enter- tainers having been secured, headed by the prominent star, Dennis King, now starring in the "Vagabond King," at the Great Northern theater. A buffet supper will be served. A rummage sale has also been ar- ranged by this organization for the lat- ter part of the month. OBERLIN CLUB MEETS A luncheon at the Evanston hotel is bringing members of the North Shore Oberlin Women's club together today for the first time this season, at noon. Miss Carolyn Willard is president of the club. Mrs. Thomas Dee is vice president; the secretary is Miss Ethel Cain, the treasurer Mrs. F. H. T. Potter. Mrs. William Hamil- ton is president of the social com- mittee. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Maynard of 1066 Spruce street have returned after a month spent in the East. They spent some time at Cape Cod, Mass., and many other interesting spots along the coast, and in the Catskills. Frame Ordinance to Regulate Flight of Airplanes Over City An ordinance prohibiting aviators from flying lower than 2,000 feet over residential sections, business districts and large gatherings has been drafted by Corporation Counsel William A. Lister of Evanston, and will be in- troduced at the nxet meeting of the city council there. The ordinance was drawn up several weeks ago by Mr. Lister and is ex- pected to be passed at once by the council. The mishap last Saturday afternoon in which a plane flying low over the football stadium ran out of gas and fell into the drainage canal is expected to hasten the action of the aldermen. Adolph Korsgen, of Glencoe, pilot of the plane which fell into the canal, and his mechanic, John Luks, of Chicago, leaped from the machine to safety. However, four were seriously hurt when fire truck No. 2 which had been called to the scene, crashed into a touring car at Ridge avenue and Church street, Evanston. Young People's League to Present Concert Here The Evangelical Lutheran Young People's league of Chicago, is to give a song service at St. John's Luthesan church in Wilmette Sunday evening, October 24. ° Several hundred members of the league are expected to attend the service.
