Novelty will be lent the occasion through the make-up of the cast, which will be new and which will be char- acterized by the debut of a tenor of whom much is expected. Aroldo Lindi, Swedish-American- Italian songbird, otherwise Harold Lin- dau, but compelled through the exist- ence of European contracts to retain the Latinized twist given his name by the Italians when he swept into fame and affluence in that country, will make his bow to Chicago in the role of Rademes in the promiere perform- ance. Claudia Muzio will sing opposite Lindi in the name role. The opening too, will serve to introduce Charles Moor--last fall a guest--as the 'resi- dent stage director, and his treatment of the spectacular features of the sterling old opera will be watched with interest.
