Horace Bridges to Give Lectures at Orrington Hotel | Horace J. Bridges, leader of The 'Chicago Ethical society, is giving a series of lectures at the Orrington ho- tel, Evanston, Sunday afternoons at 5:15 p. m. These lectures represent a very genuine and effective contri- bution to liberal religious thought, and particularly emphasize the validity of practical Ethics, it is announced. Mr. Bridges is known on the north shore as one of the most brilliant speakers in the community of Greater f | Chicago--a man of considerable liter- ary attainment, who has written a number of books dealing with Philos- ophy and Ethics as vital forces in every day life. Of him a Wilmette friend has said: "He is the leader of a religious society that stresses right living and right thinking, and extends to its members and those with whom it comes in contact an infinite tolera- tion in personal belief. Any person who cares fo listen to a discourse that is mentally and morally stimulating will be rewarded by hearing Mr. Bridges, whether they regularly at- tend a church or not. Many forward looking people in this community be- lieve there is a real need for expres- sion of opinion by a man who is a clost student of our modern life, and who can bring home to his hearers in a vivid and real way the practical necessity of Ethics. "Mr. Bridges has just started this course of lectures, with a gratifying increase in attendance. North shore residents will find in his lectures a logical, sane and liberal discussion of the problems that confront them as individuals, parents, citizens, profes- sional or business men, irrespective of creed or race." Sunday, November 28, at the Or- ington hotel, Evanston, 5:15 p. m., Mr. Bridges' subject will be: "Needed Re- pairs to the Ten Commandments."
