The program, which will be of unusual interest includes also Irene Pavlovska, mezzo-soprano of the Chicago Civic Opera and Charles Nor- man Granville, baritone. Lusk also has an engagement this week with the Choral society in St. Louis, Mo., and a joint recital with Alma Peterson, so- prano of the Chicago Grand Opera, in Waukesha, Wis. North Shore Artists Show Work at Evanston Exhibit The annual art exhibit sponsored by the Evanston Woman's club is now be- ing held in the clubhouse, and is open to the public every afternoon and eve- ning from its beginning on Tuesday, until Saturday night, December 4. Among the north shore artists exhi- biting are Mrs. Ashton Taylor, Mrs. Gordon Wilson, and William Schmedt- gen of Wilmette, Percy Eckhardt of Kenilworth, Nina Engelhardt, Mrs. Marie Gallagher, Albert Ullrich, Allen Philbrick, Tom Wilder of Winnetka, Frank and Elizabeth Peyraud, Carl Buehr, James and Hazel Ewell and Ru- dolph Ingerle of Ravinia. Improvement Group Hears How Village Is Governed Mrs. B. F. Langworthy, a member of the village council of Winnetka, gave an interesting talk at the meeting of the Indian Hill Improvement associa- tion Monday evening, on "How Win- netka Is Governed," the origin of the name of Winnetka, and many other in- teresting things pertaining to the vil- lage. B. F. Afflick also gave an interesting talk on the tree planting program of Winnetka.
