The rough stable, crude manger-- Mary, her face illumined as she bends over the wondroys joy cradled in the straw, Joseph, and little St. John are visited by the wondering shepherds and worshipping magi. And then, in deep- est awe, children of Judea come peer- ing to see the cause of the wondrous light and music, and among them is a little dumb boy. As the other children gaze in wonder, he touches the manger of the sleeping Child, and the cantata closes with the piercing sweetness of his song of Thanksgiving for the miracle which has given him his voice. The festival will close with the sing- ing of Christmas carols, and the candle light recessional of the choir. The students are leaving on Friday after- noon for their homes, returning to the college on the Monday following New Year's. Track Prospects Good at New Trier This Year According to Coach Nay prospects look good for a successful year in track at New Trier High school. When asked who were the senior prospects he said, "Paige, Mills, Boas, Leach, McNeal, Forth, Wanger, Cliff, Drake, Older, and Bartholomew lpok like our best so far." These men will cover long distance sprints, high and broad jumps, high and low hurdles, and shot put. This is a good start but middle distance runners and pole vaulters are badly needed, as well as more men in all the other events, he stated.
