Cites Citizenship as Important Study for Women's Groups "The teaching of Citizenship through Clubs" was the subject of an inter- esting talk given by Mrs. M. H. Lieber of Winnetka before the students of the National Kindergarten and Ele- mentary college Thursday afternoon. "The big thing that we need today out in the world and in our own homes, is to know how to live together, and that is one thing that citizenship in clubs is doing. It is educating women to carry more ably the responsibilities that are placed upon them." Mrs. Lieber told of some of the citi- zenship activities of the various clubs, and of the questions before the federal and state legislative bodies in which they are particularly interested. In conclusion she objected to the lack of interest on the part of many wom- en in regard to laws which they think do not affect them personally. "If we are to lay the foundation for a future citizenship of this country and of the world as it should be laid we have got to take cognizance of these things."
