NORTH WESTERN The Best of Everything in the Best of the Wes RAI LWAY Arthur P. Rogers of City National Bank Takes Waukegan Post Arthur P. Rogers, formerly of Wil- mette, will terminate twenty-four years' service for the City National bank of Evanston March 1 in order to take a position as cashier of the Peo- ples' State Bank of Waukegan. He is first assistant cashier of the Ev- anston bank, having worked up from | messenger boy and having served in every department. Mr. Rogers explained that the open- ling in Waukegan was such that he |could not afford to turn it down much as he regretted leaving Evanston and |the local bank. He entered the City National bank [May 9, 1903. The bank had been or- | ganized but three years then. A na- tive of Wilmette, he had lived there | until seven years ago when he and his family moved to Evanston. Mr. Rogers plang to sell the home which they built a few years ago at 2041 Hawthorne lane. Mrs. Rogers was Miss Ethel Wilson of Waukegan and it was partly be- cause of her family connections there that Mr. Rogers was willing to make the change, when the death of the vice president of the Waukegan bank created a vacancy there. Mr. Rogers is secretary of the Evanston Civil serv- ice board. E. T. Leonard Company Sell Orchard Lane Home The E. T. Leonard company build- ers, 556 Center street, Winnetka, are rushing to completion the new FEng- lish type house at 512 Orchard lane, Winnetka, which they report has heen sold, for May 1 delivery. This is an eight-room house of brick and stucco, with three baths and many features in design which found ready favor, they say, among prospective buyers, even before it was more than well under- way. The E. T. Leonard company also is remodeling for the market the resi- dence at 516 Orchard lane, Winnetka. the exterior of which they are chang- ing to a Dutch colonial, to be finished in stucco, with a re-arrangement of the interior; a two-story addition ni the rear; a new sun room and bath and many other improvements. They announce it will go on the market at about $22,000.
