ADAMS PHARMACY The excl Swre Elm & Linden WINNETKA 2 Local Musicians Broadcast Radio Program for Children Floy Little Bartlett, 711 road, violinist, accompanied by Mrs. Valona Brewer, violinist of the Colum- bia School of Music, presented a de- lightful program for the elementary school children throughout the city of Chicago, Wednesday morning, Febru- ary 23, over station WMAQ in Chicago. The program consisted of two selec- Sheridan tions, "Caprice" and Spanish "Bolero," | both of which were composed by Mrs. Bartlett. In addition to these violin duets, which were accompanied by Mrs. Arthur Dean of 441 Willow road, Mrs. Bartlett gave a talk on Mozart. Ele- mentary school children citv and North Shore tune in on these programs, it is said, as a feature of their assembly programs and musical appreciation courses. Skokie School's Next Play to Be "The Black Isles" The next play to be presented at the Skokie school will be given on March 4 and 5. The play is "The Black Isles," a dramatization by the dramatic arts department of Howard Pyle"s "The Enchanted Islands." The : performances will begin promptly at 7:30 o'clock in the evening. All departments of the school are taking part in preparing for the pres- entation of the play, which is to con- tain everything from pirates to kings. The play will be in the Jane Kuppen- heimer Memorial hall at the school. Erskine Macl.eod, who is business manager for George Beban, visited Mrs. Erskine Macleod of 607 Wil- low street a few days this week, hav- ing come from Milwaukee, where George Beban is playing. Others on the Board, who live in Winnetka, and are sponsoring the sale are Mrs. Charles Mordock, Mrs. August Mag- nus, and Miss Augusta Fenger, Mrs. Rudolph Matz, Mrs. Bruce Mac- Leish of Glencoe, and Mrs. Harry Williams, president of the board, and formerly a resident of Winnetka. The work carried on by the com- mittee, is most worth-while. Patients in the Cook County hospital sew and eave articles, two of each. One is sold and the proceeds go to the pa- 'ent, the other is sold and the pro- ceeds go toward the buying of new materials to carry on the work. 3askets, rag rugs, linens, wooden toys, and all manner of handiwork will be on sale, some of the articles being' made by men in the shop and some in the wards by men and women. Included in Besnhardt-Marti Nuptials Occur at Northbrook Tues. The marriage of Miss Olive Bern- hardt, of Northbrook, Ill, to Ludwig Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Magnus A. Martin of 694 Center street, Win- netka, took place, Tuesday, February 22, at the bride's home. Viola Voltz attended Miss Bern- - hardt as maid of honor, while Walter Bernhardt, the bride's brother, acted as best man. Thomas A. Goodwin per- formed the ceremony. Mr. Martin is associated with the Community House. He and his bride plan to make their home with Mr. and Mrs. Bernhardt, the bride's par- ents. Just as --is all that is necessary.
