Hub Executive Comments on First Anniversiary The first anniversary this week of the establishment of the Evanston shop of the Hub store, H. C. Lytton and company, brought forth the fol- lowing statement from H. C. Lytton, president : "It is just one year ago this week that our Evanston Shop made its open- ing bow to the people of the North Shore. with our first year would be putting it mildly. But it merely serves to em- phasize our original idea that good merchandise at lower price in a pleas- ing environment cannot fail to an ever-increasing, satisfied clientele. If we have made mistakes, be assured we are ever on the alert to correct them and to improve our service. So I feel confident in saying to our north shore patrons that they may expect even more in the future than they have in the past--in merchandise, in variety, in value and in service. Everything is in complete readiness for Spring." NURSES' GLEE CLUB PLEASES Providing the entertainment that annually delights patrons of the hos- pital, the nurses' glee club of the Ev- anston hospital offered a program last Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Patten which attracted a large patronage. Nurses sang in their uniforms and offered an attractive assembly. They are directed by I'elen Hawke Carlisle. Solo numbers were provided by Miss Ellen Ruth Jenkins. Miss Florence Biesemeier, 804 Cen- tral avenue, Wilmette, concert master of the New Trier High school orches- tra, will appear in several recitals to be given under the direction of Miss Mildred Fermier at Tampa and St. Petersburg, Fla: AS THE WEATHER GETS WARMER!
