Phone 456 Fill Northwestern Social Calendar Senior ball topped the social events at Northwestern university last week- end, and other affairs are on the calen- dar for the near futu-e. The ball was held in the Patten gymnasium Friday evening in a Palm Beach setting of banked greens and flowers. Another annual event held Friday was the prom given by the three chapters of Delta Tau Delta from Northwestern, Chi- cago and Armour at the Blackstone hotel. Pi Beta Phi is holding a subscrip- tion dance this evening at the Orring- ton hotel roof for the benefit of the house fund. Alpha Xi Delta will hold a subscription dance Wednesday, April 3, at the Evanston Woman's club. Phi Kappa Psi held open house on Sunday afternoon of last week, and Sigma Alpha Epsilon will entertain at tea this Sunday afternoon. The alumni of the Chicago chapter of Phi Delta Theta entertained the Northwestern and Chicago chapters at a dance last Saturday evening at the Riverside Country club. The Sigma Chi chapter attended Sigma Chi night in a body at Edgewater Beach hotel Saturday. The balcony scene from "Romeo and Juliet" given by Daisy Belmore of "The Vagabond King" company entertained the several hundred sorority women who attended the annual luncheon of the Chicago City Panhellenic associa- tion at the Illinois Women's Athletic club last Saturday. Another event at- tended by the women of the campus sororities was the tea given Wednes- day by Alpha Omicron Pi in honor of its grand secretary, Mrs. James Hunt- ington, and its district superintendent, Miss Milita Skillen. VISITS WITH PARENTS Mrs. Gordon Webster Daly is visit- ing with her parents, Dr. and Mis. Fred C. Honnold, 457 Ash street. Mr. Daly is here for the last week of her visit and they will return to their home in Brookline, Mass., the first of April.
