The con- cert this year may well be considered a school concert as one-half of the enrollment at Skokie will appear in at least one of the participating groups. One of the outstanding features of the program is the girls' chorus sing- ing in parts. The chorus is composed of nearly one hundred voices and will present a group of selections of un- usual interest. Another feature of the program will be the Boys' Glee club which is a new organization at Skokie this vear. The boys constitute a regu- lar chorus class and despite the fact that they are not a select group of voices, have acquitted themselves ad- mirably. They have appeared twice before the assembly and have been received with marked appreciation by their schoolmates. Another interesting group of selec- tions will be Russian Folk songs, given by a girls' chorus class. The group of eighteen girls will present the songs in costume and will not be under the direction of any leader. The girls' chorus, composed of over a hundred voices, has been picked from the choral classes. The girls' glee club is a selected group of fifty from this chorus. Competition for the lat- ter has been exceptionally keen this vear and 'Me resulting chorus is a splendid musical organization. They will present a very difficult number in the second Brahms number, which contains a contrapuntal passage with- out accompaniment. The boys' treble glee club is a group of twenty-six picked from the chorus classes, which number above sixty in enrollment. The band has a membership of over twenty and the orchestra has de- veloped some excellent music with its eighteen instruments. The complete program which will be presented by the one hundred and eighty Skokie pupils is given below. Fach of the nine groups will have something to interest any musical taste.
