Normal courses for both men and women in life saving, boating, water- front protection, and coaching will again be offered. Life guards, Boy and Girl Scout leaders, councillors for summer camps, playground and re- creation workers from all parts of the middle west will learn from champion- ship swimmers and authorities on waterfront protection all the latest de- velopments in diving, swimming, boat- ing, and life saving organization. While instruction in water safety is the primary aim, a full standard and an advanced course in first aid will be given by qualified physicians at- tached to the Red Cross staff. The Camp Folders describing Camp Checaugua, one of the Owasippe camps in Michigan, have been distri- buted to the various troops. Scouts of the north shore troops will attend during the period from June 27 to July 9. In many cases Scout leaders will go to camp with their troops. The camp is in charge of Carl A.
