Housewives came | from far and near to view the attrac- | tively appointed tables and bought | generously of the splendidly prepared | wares. [ Miss Olson's group of Camp Fire | Girls annexed the first award when | their display was adjudged the pretti est by the group of judges. Mrs. Eisenbrand's group took the first prize for having the best variety of wares. The outstanding purpose of these | semi-annual Camp Fire Food sales is to exhibit the efforts of the girls and each sale represents careful prepara- tion and diligent application to the task at hand. Four Cars Feature in Crash on Sheridan Road A four car combination accident at Elm street and Sheridan road, Win- netka, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock resulted in a general smash-up of cars and the injury of Hugo Eisenberger, of 674 Bluff street, Glencoe, who was cut about the head and removed to the office of Dr. Fred Patton, 309 Park avenue, Glencoe, for treatment. Carl Smith, of Northbrook, was driving south in his Overland sedan and Tony Ruggio was going north in a Locomobile sedan owned by John Dolle, of 1030 Sheridan road, Win- netka. A car, the driver of which Motorcycle Officer E. Schubert was unable to identify, was directly ahead of Ruggio, and stopping suddenly, forced Ruggio to swerve suddenly to one side. In doing so, he hit Arthur Luke, who was entering Elm street and also hit the Smith car. FEisen- || berger was in the Smith car. Mrs. J. W. Eberlein of 892 Cherry street had as her guests last week, her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Geissel of South Bend, Ind., and her brother and sis- ter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A. Geissel.
