Members of the Boy Scout troop were guests of the club. Boy Scout Calendar Boards of Review will be held as follows, in preparation for the Big Court of Award of the New Trier High school on Friday evening, May 6: Highland Park City hall--Monday, May 2, 7:15 P. M. Glencoe Union church -- Wednesday, May 4, 7:30 P. M. Wilmette (Byron Stolp school)-- Wednesday, May 4, 7:30 P. M. The monthly Scout leaders round table will be held on Monday evening, May 16, on the beach in Glencoe. Steak dinners, cooked over the camp- fire will be the order of the evening. Each Scout leader will be allowed to bring a guest. The May Junior officers conference is scheduled for Saturday morning, May 14, at Lake Forest. Troops 45 of the Episcopal church, and 46 of the Presbyterian church are making preparations for the Conference. The Annual Scoutcraft Field day will probably be held at the cabin site, west of Glencoe, on Saturday af- ternoon, May 2I. Each troop will compete in a group of six events. Scout leaders of the North Shore Area, who are employed in the loop, often get together for lunch in Chi- cago. with Scout Executive Walter McPeek, Last Monday noon, they met at the Central Y. M. C. A. room. "Old Ironsides" will be saved, if the co-operation of Scouts can save her. Scouts in many troops, and through the schools are helping in the sale of "Old Ironsides" pictures. dining Summer Scouting Many Scouts of the north shore troops will attend "Camp Checaugua," one of the famous Owasiope camps in Michigan, during the "North Shore Period," June 27 to July 9. Many troops will hold informal get- togethers throughout the summer. Evening hikes, hot-dog roasts, evening games, and such events of a strictly fun nature, are on the summer troop plans. Each Wednesday afternoon and eve- ning during the summer, beginning June 15, will be "Open House" day at the cabin. B. C. Draper, assistant Scout executive, will be in charge of the afternoon and evening program. Scouts will come by troops, patrols, and as individuals. Merit Badge Faculty One of the principles of the Boy Scout program of vocational guidance, via the Merit Badge program, is to bring a Scout into contact with a man who is a member of the vocation or profession of the merit badge which he desires. A Merit Badge Faculty is being developed to make examiners available for the more than 70 voca- tional Merit Badge subjects. PARTY JLIPPER.
