F. Reynolds and company of Chicago. The system is the result of many years of study on the part of the engineers, who have specialized in the problems of theater heating and venti- lating. They are at the present time installing heating and ventilation in twenty theaters throughout the coun- try. It is necessary that a system be ex- ceptionally flexible and with that in mind the heating installation consists of three separate heating units, placed in battery form, so that one or more of them can be operated at a time, depending on outside air conditions to be considered. These units are not subject to the control of the human element but are all thermostatically and automatically controlled through the temperature regulation system. Therefore, the temperature in the auditorium is continually kept at the comfort point regardless of the num- ber of patrons in the theater. Per- fect distribution of air is accomplished through the use of three separate fan units which do their part in supplying and exhausting 80,000 cubic feet of air per minute, properly ventilating every portion of the theater. Reschke Company Builds Teatro del Lago Drives Paul Reschke, of 1149 Cherry street, Winnetka, cement contractor, had the contract for constructing the cement driveways from Sheridan road and Tenth street and also the 50,000 square feet of parking space at Teatre del Lago. He completed his work Wed- nesday of this week. The driveways have been done for some time. The work on the parking space, which was begun only a week ago last Monday, has been rushed to completion in record speed. , Mr. Reschke has had twenty-five men and two powerful concrete mixers on this job. This is said to be the only theater in the Greater Chicago area with automobile parking space of this kind. It is an original idea of Ayres Boal and H. O. Edmonds, of the Teatro del Lago company. It is situ- ated directly west of the theater struc- ture proper, and has four entrances. It covers one large area of square feet, but is so arranged in sec- tions that cars may conveniently enter or depart at any time.
